Salary Currency:
United States dollar
Base Salary: $17.00
Education RequirementsHigh School or higher. Appropriate experience may be accepted in lieu of any Education Requirements.
Responsibilities- Study and follow the curriculum and lesson plan as provided by the absent teacher or the principal.
- Apply various teaching techniques to encourage participation and facilitate learning.
- Prepare educational materials, such as notes, exercises, and additional resources.
- Assign classwork.
- Take attendance according to school policy.
- Keep track of students' progress and write down information that will be useful to the regular teacher.
- Report any incidents regarding students' behavior in and out of the classroom.
- Maintain a tidy and safe class environment for students.
- Oversee school equipment and ensure students use it properly.
- Classroom Management:
Ability to maintain order and discipline in a classroom setting, strong organizational and multitasking skills. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to give clear instructions and explanations to students. - Adaptability:
Flexibility to handle various grade levels and subjects, ability to quickly adjust to new classroom environments and routines. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to think on your feet and handle unexpected situations, strong decision-making skills to address student needs and classroom challenges. - Professionalism:
Punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic, professional appearance and demeanor at all times. - Patience and Compassion:
Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and learning abilities, understanding and patience in dealing with challenging behaviors. - Educational Knowledge:
Basic understanding of curriculum and lesson planning, familiarity with educational tools and technology.
