Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and practicing Catholic educator to join our faculty as a Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher
.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep love for early childhood education, a strong commitment to Catholic formation, and the ability to create a warm, engaging, and structured classroom environment. As a kindergarten teacher, you will play a foundational role in shaping our students' first formal school experience, helping them discover a lifelong love for learning and God.

Key Responsibilities Faith Integration

Integrate Catholic values, teachings, and traditions seamlessly into daily classroom instruction and routines.

Prepare and lead students in daily prayer, religious instruction (using approved diocesan curriculum), and participation in school liturgies/masses.

Model Christian behavior, patience, and compassion for students, parents, and colleagues.

Instruction & Classroom Management

Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, engaging curriculum encompassing literacy, math, science, social studies, and fine arts, aligned with diocesan and state standards.

Create a nurturing, organized, and safe learning environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and developmental needs.

Utilize a balance of play-based learning, direct instruction, and hands-on activities to foster cognitive and social-emotional growth.

Assess student progress regularly, maintain accurate records, and adapt instructional strategies to support individual student needs.

Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with parents and guardians regarding student growth, behavior, and classroom activities.

Collaborate effectively with grade-level partners, special education staff, and school administration.

Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, school liturgies, and community events (e.g., Open House, parent-teacher conferences).

Qualifications & Requirements

Faith: Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church, able to model and teach the faith.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a closely related field.

Licensure: Valid state teaching certification/license with appropriate early childhood or elementary endorsements (or eligibility to obtain one).

Background Check: Must pass all required diocesan and state background checks.

Skills: Strong classroom management skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and proficiency in integrating technology into early childhood education.
