Sign Language Interpreter in Fort Wayne

Support a bright future for students as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter in a school environment near Fort Wayne, IN. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 25, 2027, and provides the rewarding opportunity to work 1:1 with a PreK student, delivering meaningful support for approximately 30 hours per week.

• Deliver interpreting services for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student in various school settings
• Facilitate clear, accurate communication between the student, educators, school staff, and peers
• Interpret classroom lessons, meetings, and school activities or events
• Help the student fully participate in the educational environment
• Partner closely with teachers and special education professionals to address individual student needs
• Follow Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodations and adhere to school policies
• Exercise professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality at all times

• Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification (EIPA score of 3.5+ or higher required)
• Experience in schools or with children (preferred)
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
