Compensation for this position is $1,500.00 per load hour.

This is a part-time teaching position adjunct faculty position with additional responsibilities related to the academic program for the Spring semester of 2027. It reports through the department chair to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop a Patient Safety course (2 credit hours) appropriate for second-year pharmacy students following the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) Standards.
    • Dependent on the candidate, the course can be for on campus and asynchronous distance pathway delivery or asynchronous distance delivery only
    • Compensation will be dependent on course format
  • Serve as the course coordinator for the Patient Safety course
    • Ensure all materials are posted 2 weeks in advance of delivery
    • Maintain regular interactions with enrolled students
    • Report final grades to the registrar
    • If needed, provide remediation to any student that failed and is eligible for remediation
    • Meeting assigned classes at the scheduled locations and for the scheduled durations
    • Directing and attending non-class activities, as appropriate
    • Administering examinations and assessing student learning
  • Working in a professional, collegial and team-oriented manner with the University community
  • Maintaining compliance with policies and procedures in the Faculty Manual
  • Maintaining office hours, as appropriate
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration or a related discipline, or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with demonstrated experience in Pharmacy Administration.
  • Experience teaching, developing, or coordinating pharmacy-related coursework.
  • Strong knowledge of patient safety principles and contemporary pharmacy practice.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners in a collaborative academic environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and respond effectively to student needs.
  • Proficiency with learning technologies and standard office software applications.
