Role OverviewEnvironmental Field Leader (Foreman/Supervisor) is responsible for frontline supervision, tactical deployment, and administrative oversight of field projects and personnel. This role blends hands‑on management with strategic execution by planning and controlling daily jobsite activities, managing project profitability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maximizing resource allocation, thereby ensuring operations are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and promoting professional development of field crews.
Compensation$27 - $35 hourly
Responsibilities- Provide direct daily supervision, task delegation, and coaching to Environmental Technicians while serving as the primary on‑site liaison for clients and Project Managers.
- Run morning Jobsite Safety Assessments (JSAs), lead safety investigations, and enforce corrective actions (CAPA) and strict federal, state, and local compliance for all material handling, profiling, and disposal activities.
- Review Scopes of Work (SOW) to coordinate and deploy equipment, personnel, and materials efficiently across single or multiple assigned field projects.
- Verify the accuracy of daily field ticketing and job documentation while assisting Project Managers with cost tracking, budget monitoring, change orders, and profitability reporting.
- Manage team time and attendance, conduct performance reviews, and partner with HR on recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Demonstrated progressive field and leadership experience in the industrial services or environmental sector.
- OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30.
- HAZWOPER.
- NIMS‑ICS Training (Preferred).
- Confined Space Entry (CSE) Training/Certification.
- IDEM UST Class B and OSRO operation training (Preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License required;
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly preferred. - Ability to commute reliably to the Fort Wayne home location and regional field sites.
- Proficient with M365 Office Suite, CRM tools, and mobile electronic forms/devices.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis. Ability to sit, stand, stoop, walk, or kneel on varying terrains for extended periods.
- Fully capable of tolerating Class B protective equipment and a full‑face respirator; comfortable working around strong odors.
- Proficient in the use of hand/power tools and the operation of heavy equipment. Strong hand‑eye coordination.
- Proven ability to act as an expert safety trainer and maintain high audit compliance scores.
