Join a leading company in structural steel joist and deck building systems as a Detailer. This role involves converting customer drawings into simple, detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D and coordinating project delivery. Work with a dynamic team based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, supporting six manufacturing plants across North America.

• Convert customer drawings into detailed plans using AutoCAD 2D.
• Create manufacturing and delivery plans for products.
• Coordinate internally and with customers to solve problems and ensure timely project delivery.
• Work on multiple projects at different stages of completion.
• Utilize a proprietary AutoCAD 2D add‑in (training provided).

• Experience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or related industries.
• Understanding of structural loads and connections.
• Ability to review decking design drawings and connections.
• Familiarity with the design approval process and client/fabrication plant collaboration.

• Direct experience with joists and/or decking design.
• Experience in leadership or training roles.
• Strong multi‑tasking and organizational skills.
• Flexible mindset and ability to adjust quickly to new tasks.
• Accountability for metrics, results, and drawing quality.
• Goal‑oriented and deadline‑driven approach.
• Capability to give and receive feedback effectively.
• Adaptability to company culture and attitude.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
