** SUMMARY
* * Maintains engineering document control and CAD system.  Initiates and implements process improvements as needed.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
* Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors and operatives.
* Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
* Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
* Provides manufacturing engineering information by seeking process specific advice and guidance.
* Creates and manages plans to keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
* Maintain product and process data base and reporting accordingly.
* Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
* Investigation and problem solving of production issues and making improvements to current operations to enhance efficiency utilizing Kaizen principals.
* Support and adhere to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (TS 16949) and environmental standards (ISO
140001).
* Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

* ** QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
** Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.  
** LANGUAGE SKILLS
** Ability to read and interpret documents and statures from jurisdictional agencies and governmental units, procedure manuals, and specification manuals.  Ability to write instructions, plant operating procedures, and routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, regulatory agencies, and employees of the organization.  
** MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
** Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply basic concepts of physical science.  
** REASONING ABILITY
** Ability to apply common sense understanding and create instructions from technical data or statutes furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Interpret and apply regulations and procedures to situations.
