Job Description Summary
Controls & IT Co-Op will support both the Controls Engineering and Information Technology in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role provides hands‑on experience in automation systems, industrial controls, and IT infrastructure while contributing to continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and system optimization initiatives.

Controls / Automation Support- Assist in troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and automated equipment (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens)
- Support machine uptime by helping diagnose electrical and controls‑related issues
- Participate in PLC programming updates and documentation
- Assist with robot programming and troubleshooting
- Support preventative maintenance activities on automated systems
- Help implement continuous improvement and process optimization projects
- All other duties as assigned
- Provide support for shop floor PCs, printers, scanners, label machines, radios, etc.
- Assist with network troubleshooting for connectivity, IP configurations, etc.
- Support user account management for all team members to also include permissions, access.
- Help maintain IT documentation, asset tracking, and system backups
- Assist with software installations, updates, and cybersecurity best practices, and IT4.
- All other duties as required.
- Enrolled fulltime in an accredited college pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Graduation date of May 2027 or later
- Available to work a minimum 25 hours each week year‑round
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation
- Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals
- Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite
