Senior Systems Engineer

Position Overview

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

This Senior Systems Engineer will design, develop, and test cutting‑edge Electronic Warfare (EW) technology for a suite of products across multiple programs within the Electronic Warfare and Airborne Sensors department of the Space and Air Sensors Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities organization.

• Analyze, develop, and implement engineering solutions for complex systems operating under moderate technical uncertainty
• Assess customers' architectural needs and desired capabilities and participate in requirements decomposition to ensure appropriate allocation of technical architecture elements
• Create innovative solutions to complex technical challenges in signal processing design
• Design, modify, and/or test existing electronic warfare signal‑processing and control algorithms, along with the associated system software
• Develop and execute test plans, including simulations and lab tests, to verify system capability
• Evaluate and assess functional performance of developmental RF systems, including signal processing subsystems, software, and firmware/control algorithms
• Support bid and proposal efforts by providing accurate labor and material cost estimations
• Maintain organized workflows, documentation, and processes to support team operations
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, design reviews, and test result briefings to internal teams and external stakeholders

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience
• RF system design and digital/analog signal processing, waveform and modulation analysis, and algorithm development, implementation, and testing expertise
• Knowledge of defining system architectures, including requirements derivation, allocation, traceability, and configuration management
• Experience with developing system models, simulations, and analytical tools to evaluate, predict, and optimize system performance
• Ability to support occasional business travel (20% or less)
• Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

• Familiarity with development, implementation, and testing of RF jamming algorithms
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++, Path Wave ADS, AMD Vivado, and/or Path Wave EMPro for simulation and design of RF systems
• Experience with RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or testing in electronic warfare systems
• Embedded systems and embedded programming experience
• Experience implementing digital signal processing solutions on embedded processors and digital hardware
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools (e.g., Cameo or similar)
• Knowledge of DOORS for requirements management

• Competitive base salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD, adjusted for experience, location, and qualifications
