The MPD department designs FPGAs, circuit cards, and electronics subassemblies for missiles, radars, and electronic warfare systems. This position is an onsite role located in Fort Wayne, IN.

• Assist with requirements decomposition and trade studies.
• Define architecture at the circuit card level.
• Lead the design, analysis, test, and documentation of analog and power conversion circuit cards.
• Partner with ECAD drafters through stack‑up definition, layout, and routing activities.
• Plan and execute integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
• Provide product test and troubleshooting support.
• Support root‑cause failure investigations.
• Define schedules for circuit card level tasking and drive execution to the planned budget and schedule.
• Lead individual designs and/or small teams.
• Operate with minimal oversight from manager.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
• Engage in knowledge transfer activities and mentorship of junior engineers.

• Degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with non‑isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck‑boost.
• Experience with analog electronics design: FETs/BJTs, op‑amps, high/low/band‑pass filters, clock/data termination, comparator circuits.
• Experience using MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or similar tools.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout CAD package.
• Preferable:
  Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Robust design and analysis experience with analog or digital power converters (flyback, half‑bridge, full‑bridge, forward, push‑pull).
• Familiarity with transformer and inductor design considerations in power electronics circuits.
• Experience with power architecture trades and specification development.
• Experience with voltages >400V and/or power >10kW, three‑phase power systems, power‑factor control, and inverter/rectifier development.
• Experience with circuit simulators (SIMPLIS, SABER) and ECAD tools (Siemens Xpedition, xPCB, Hyperlynx).
• Proficient in lab equipment: power supplies, electronic loads, multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers.
• Leadership ability: lead teams and manage schedule, budget, and technical commitments.
• Experience with project‑management tools:
  Earned Value, Agile Execution.
• Proposal development experience.

Competitive salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and potential incentive compensation.
