Job Description

Join a leading fabricator of structural steel joist and deck building systems as a Detailer. Based in Fort Wayne, IN, you will transform customer drawings into detailed AutoCAD 2D plans, coordinating closely with internal teams and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

* Convert customer drawings into detailed AutoCAD 2D plans for manufacturing.

* Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve issues and ensure project delivery.

* Manage 5-6 projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.

* Utilize proprietary AutoCAD 2D add-ins to enhance detailing processes.

* Participate in reviewing drawings with Team Leads and ensure quality standards.

Essential Skills

* Experience with AutoCAD drafting in construction, building design, or related industries.

* Understanding of structural loads and connections.

* Ability to review and approve decking design drawings and connections.

* Familiarity with the approval process for designs and project management.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $23.25/hr.
