Job DescriptionSummary
The Sr. Systems Engineer applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases:
Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Key responsibilities will include interacting with the Government, regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts and regularly communicating with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
- Provide automation expertise to an infrastructure team of system engineers and system administrators.
- Design and implement solutions to optimize infrastructure performance and security.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with development and Dev Ops teams to integrate solutions with existing CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior administrators on best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a systems engineering role.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes or ECS).
- Experience with cloud platforms.
- An active TS/SCI with polygraph.
$180,000 - $215,000. The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract‑specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.

ITAR RequirementHis position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
