Responsible for special projects and related engineering assistance in support of manufacturing operations.
Primary Responsibilities- Utilize engineering disciplines to troubleshoot shop floor activities and improve shop floor throughput to reduce costs.
- Coordinate and perform initial trial runs on new processes and equipment. Notes and tracks issues for resolution.
- Initiate improvements to existing systems. Process machinery and equipment to support manufacturing functions and operations.
- Keep abreast of technology improvements, recommend and justify implementation of equipment and process establishing cost reduction improvements.
- Work on continuous improvement programs and cost reduction projects.
- Work closely with shift supervisors and department managers to ensure proper quality operations of materials and equipment on new job start‑up.
- Provide assistance to plant technical manager on assigned projects.
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline with 4 years of process engineering experience.
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing parts and processes.
