Senior FPGA Engineer – Collins Aerospace (RTX) – Onsite, US –
Location:
FT WAYNE, IN
Design, implement, verify and integrate high‑performance digital ASICs, FPGAs and circuit boards for computer graphics, communication signal processing, and information assurance products.
Responsibilities- Identify requirements capture and conduct ASIC/FPGA digital architecture design utilizing RTL and timing closure.
- Perform verification and system integration of digital designs.
- Recommend new tools and practices to continuously improve the group’s ASIC/FPGA design flow.
- Contribute to engineering estimates for new program pursuits.
- Provide technical leadership for project design teams: break down work, plan activities, and report status.
- Participate in Agile team meetings and planning activities.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- At least 3 years of experience in RTL coding and simulation in Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience in digital circuit architecture, design, resource tradeoffs, timing analysis, and timing closure.
- Experience in testbench development for verification of RTL blocks using System Verilog.
- Proficiency with ASIC/FPGA simulation and synthesis tools (e.g., Model Sim, Synplify, Quartus, Vivado).
- Familiarity with revision control tools such as Git or Subversion.
- Experience with best‑practice chip‑level verification techniques and languages (constrained random, functional coverage, System Verilog).
- Experience in ASIC/FPGA lab validation using advanced laboratory equipment.
- Experience with Design for Test (DFT) and manufacturability.
- Experience with Unix, scripting, C/C++, and/or Perl.
