Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States

Overview

Engineer II - Electronic Warfare Systems within the Electronic Warfare and Airborne Sensors department of the Space and Air Sensors organization. Supports design, development, and testing of Electronic Warfare technology and sensor systems across multiple programs.

What You Will Do
  • System Development: Understand customer need, participate in requirements decomposition, oversee technical allocation.
  • System Integration & Test: Support integration, test, design verification, fault identification, failure resolution, mandatory acceptance of production hardware.
  • Provide engineering support to lab test and qualification activities; oversee evaluation of system hardware and firmware.
  • Support customer inquiries, field failures, product obsolescence, system enhancements, new product development, integration, and transition to production.
  • Evaluate performance of developmental electronic warfare systems, including signal processing subsystems.
  • Assist bid and proposal efforts by providing labor or material cost estimates.
  • Balance multiple commitments with moderate supervision.
Qualifications
  • Typical requirement:
    Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics) and 2 years of prior relevant systems engineering, RF system design, digital/analog signal processing, waveform and signal modulation analysis, or algorithm implementation and testing.
  • Experience producing and presenting system design information and or system test results to internal or external customers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for business.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. government issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with RF jamming algorithms and simulation/design tools such as MATLAB, Path Wave ADS, and/or Path Wave EMPro.
  • Software experience in C, C++, and/or Python.
  • RF receiver/exciter product design, development, and/or testing in Electronic Attack (signals jamming) sub-domain.
  • Embedded systems and embedded programming experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing embedded systems on FPGA hardware.
  • Familiarity with Model‑Based Systems Engineering principles and tools such as Cameo.
  • Experience working within Agile development frameworks using Jira, Confluence, and DOORS.
