Job SummaryShambaugh & Son is looking for a Part-Time Fire Protection Designer. You will be responsible for assisting in designing layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and creating hydraulic calculations.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
Familiarize with fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Auto Sprink, and Revit
Provide lists for fabrication
Other duties assigned
Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and mathematical aptitude, with attention to detail
