Automated Welding Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive Automated Welding Coordinator to oversee robotic programming and automation in a manufacturing facility located in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves managing a team of technical experts to enhance and troubleshoot automated systems for welding, blasting, and painting.

Applicants must have hands-on experience programming robotic welding systems specifically within a manufacturing setting. Experience in general robotics or automation will not be considered.

• Lead and mentor Robotics Programmers and Robotic Process Technicians
• Oversee automation projects from inception to production launch
• Program, test, and validate robotic welding processes
• Identify areas for productivity, quality, and equipment enhancements
• Troubleshoot robotics, PLCs, electrical systems, and more
• Review engineering drawings and models to support projects
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement equipment improvements
• Create training materials and technical documentation
• Collaborate with various teams for project success

• Multiple years of robotics programming and automation experience in manufacturing
• Proven robotic welding programming skills
• Experience in supervising technical employees
• Working knowledge of PLCs, vision systems, and more
• Experience with FANUC Roboguide and Lincoln Electric Weld Pro a plus
• Familiarity with CAD software, especially Autodesk Inventor
• Degree in mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering preferred
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities
