Description
Position SummaryWe are looking for enthusiastic parking lot attendants who will be responsible for scanning parking passes, collecting payments, and directing guests throughout our 1700‑space parking lot for soccer matches or other events held at the new Fort Wayne FC soccer stadium.
Fort Wayne FC home matches run mostly on Saturday evenings from May 2 through October 24, with a few Wednesday matches. Additional stadium event dates will vary.
Essential Responsibilities- Scan electronic pre‑paid parking code utilizing provided technology (may collect payment through credit card as needed)
- Direct guests to proper parking lot destinations in the stadium (i.e., VIP, rideshare drop‑off, general parking, etc.), with an emphasis on efficiency and timeliness to get many cars into the lot prior to event start
- Answer general questions and resolve issues in a respectful and friendly manner
- Be flexible and adjust to situations as they occur
- Set up and remove directional signage
- Maintain position and attention at assigned post
- Ensure the safety of efficient flow of cars and pedestrians
Skills and Abilities
Must have outstanding customer service and willingness to smile and talk to guests to positively represent the Stadium and its events; able to take direction from supervisor or upper management; able to react quickly and seek appropriate help, as needed, for emergency or elevated situations. Must enjoy working with the public.
Experience and TrainingApplicants need to be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to work at least 75% of the scheduled FWFC events within the required arrival and end times as established by supervisor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands:Able to walk, stand and run outside for up to four (4) hours; grasp, reach, stoop and speak. Able to lift, carry, push up to 15 pounds as necessary.
Work Environment:Able to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, wind, and other weather conditions. Able to focus on providing customer experience and attending to guest needs. Can tolerate high noise levels. Ability to function in a high activity and potentially crowded venue.
Must be able to work irregular hours including nights, weekends and/or holidays, as needed.
Event AttireEvent day staff will be provided with a designated event staff shirt and will need to wear their own khaki pants or long shorts (based on an approved attire list). Comfortable shoes are suggested.
