Senior Financial Analyst – Strategic Procurement

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

What You'll Do

You will analyze purchasing activity, vendor contracts, and operating expenditures to identify cost‑saving opportunities, improve procurement practices, and support smarter financial and operational decisions across City Utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze spending trends, vendor contracts, and procurement activity to identify savings opportunities
  • Support vendor negotiations, contract evaluations, and procurement strategies
  • Assist with operating and capital budget analysis, forecasting, and expenditure tracking
  • Develop financial reports, dashboards, and recommendations for leadership
  • Partner with departments to improve processes, efficiency, and financial transparency
What You Bring | Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, accounting, economics, business, public administration, or related field
  • Five years of professional experience in finance, budgeting, procurement, analytics, or related work
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Financial analysis and budgeting
  • Procurement and vendor analysis
  • ERP systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Contract and pricing analysis
  • Process improvement and operational efficiency strategies
