The Commercial Relationship Manager III is a trusted business advisor to clients, offering a full breadth of banking solutions to meet their financial objectives. This role involves establishing a network of referral sources and Centers of Influence with regular calling efforts to generate new business opportunities. The manager is responsible for a portfolio of relationships, delivering an exceptional client experience while appropriately managing risk, credit quality, servicing, and related activities in accordance with Northwest standards, in partnership with a portfolio management team.
Responsibilities- Develop and expand existing commercial banking relationships
- Actively prospect and bring in new relationships to Northwest
- Engage with product partners regularly to discuss cross-selling opportunities and referrals to deepen client relationships
- Achieve and exceed budget goals as assigned (individual and regional)
- Participate in community and professional networking events
- Develop meaningful Centers of Influence relationships
- Establish and maintain an ongoing prospect list with a calling and meeting schedule for prospects, existing clients, and COIs
- Encourage referrals for all products and services from clients and their employees to maintain their personal banking at Northwest
- Manage a commercial loan portfolio of credit and noncredit clients
- Present loans and recommendations to Credit, team leaders, and senior managers as required
- Partner with credit and portfolio management to ensure timely annual reviews and line of credit renewals
- Ensure noncredit clients have appropriate treasury management and related commercial services, and that risk ratings are appropriate
- Collect on delinquent accounts as required
- Analyze financial statements and related credit material to assess client performance and risk in coordination with Portfolio Management
- Complete loan closings in partnership with Portfolio Management
- Ensure all credit files contain current financial statements, agency reports, etc., in partnership with Portfolio Management
- Participate in ongoing sales, product, and credit training
- Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures and applicable regulations
- Navigate Microsoft Office and department-specific software to maximize efficiency
- Work as part of a team
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Abide by safety and loss prevention programs; perform work safely
- Report any injuries to a supervisor and know what to do in case of an emergency
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Marketing preferred
- Work History: 6–8 years of account relationship management experience preferred
- 6–8 years of experience consistently delivering strong sales performance preferred
