Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation

Kingson Care Center of Fort Wayne is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you’ll play a key role in helping residents rebuild strength, improve mobility, and achieve independence in a supportive, resident-first care setting in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
• Support residents with mobility training, exercises, and functional activities
• Monitor and document resident progress, reporting updates to the Physical Therapist
• Educate residents and families on therapy goals, safety practices, and home exercise routines
• Encourage participation and create a positive therapy environment that promotes recovery
• Ensure all therapy services meet Indiana state regulations and Kingston’s quality standards

Requirements:

• Active Indiana Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required
• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred (new grads welcome)
• Strong clinical, documentation, and organizational skills
• Compassionate approach and ability to motivate residents during therapy
• Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to resident-focused care
