Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager serves as the link between HR strategy and daily operations, supporting the Director of Human Resources in leading and executing core people initiatives across the organization. The HR Manager partners with leaders at all levels to promote engagement, ensure consistency, and maintain a positive workplace culture aligned with core company competencies and goals. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for carrying out a variety of HR functions across the organization with a focus on talent acquisition, culture building, safety, health and wellness, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, and overall positive employee engagement.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive compensation package, benchmarked to regional market standards. It consists of a base salary plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

Responsibilities Employee Experience & Engagement
  • Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives that reinforce company culture and values.
  • Partner with the Director of HR to plan and execute HR events, appreciation programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Analyze feedback from surveys and exit interviews to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Support culture‑building efforts by aligning HR programs with business and operational objectives.
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure a seamless hiring and onboarding process.
  • Oversee onboarding logistics, new hire orientation, and early‑stage engagement (30/60/90‑day check‑ins).
  • Continuously improve onboarding content and processes to enhance employee experience.
Employee Relations
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide trend reporting to HR leadership.
Benefits & Leave Administration
  • Support annual open enrollment, benefit audits, and ongoing employee education.
Performance Management & Development
  • Partner with the Director of HR to execute the annual performance review process, ensuring timely completion and quality feedback.
  • Track development plans and succession activities to align with organizational growth goals.
  • Support leadership training and development initiatives as directed by HR leadership.
HR Systems & Process Optimization
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of data within HRIS, benefits, and payroll systems.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for HR processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Generate and analyze HR reports to support decision‑making and workforce planning.
Compliance & Policy Management
  • Support compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR files, benefits data, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with HR leadership to update policies, handbooks, and procedures as needed.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Promote cross‑functional collaboration with payroll, safety, and operations teams.
  • Contribute to HR projects, programs, and initiatives that drive organizational improvement.
Requirements Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communication, business, or a related field.
  • 5‑7 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive information and consistently demonstrate a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to operate independently, using critical thinking and good judgment to make decisions.
