The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The individual in this role may be involved in recruitment, payroll administration, and any other areas of human resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supports the recruiting process (e.g., schedule interviews, send background checks, attend job fairs/recruitment events, conduct drug tests and contact selected candidates).
- Coordinates the new hire orientation process (scheduling orientation, preparing orientation paperwork, creating employee files, including I-9 completion/compliance).
- Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Provides support on auditing, reviewing, and processing paperwork and forms.
- Participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs, and HR assessments.
- Maintains confidentiality and performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Supports company Open Enrollment periods to ensure smooth processing.
- Supports payroll processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months ranging from mild to moderate.
