Franklin Electric is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as an IT Operations Intern. This internship will provide hands‑on experience supporting key areas of IT Operations, including Service Desk Operations, Service Now data organization and cleanup, and Service Now mobile app development. Working alongside experienced team members, the intern will contribute to assigned projects and goals outlined by the supporting management team, while gaining valuable exposure to IT operations within a global business environment.

This role offers the opportunity to build professional relationships, strengthen technical and problem‑solving skills, and successfully meet project deadlines in a collaborative, real‑world setting.

• Service Operation
  • Responds to internal customers to resolve their technology problems.
  • Enters and manages Incident and Service Request tickets in Service Now (IT Service Management Application).
  • Assists with IT Projects.
  • Meets with business team members to gather requirements for Service Now Data Cleanup, Organization, and Mobile App Development.
• Asset Management
  • Uses Service Now to maintain and track IT assets and inventories.

Skills and Abilities

• Communication – Delivers accurate, clear, and concise messages orally and/or in writing.
• Problem Solving – Uses a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem, determining the most likely cause by eliminating potential causes of a problem.
• Decision Making – Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; compares alternatives and makes timely decisions.
• Business Process Knowledge – Understands the process steps and purpose of the important business processes used by internal customers.

Education and Experience

• Currently enrolled in college and pursuing an IT related degree (required).
• Junior or Senior Standing (preferred).

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Operating Systems (Required), Microsoft Office (Required), Service Now (preferred), Mobile App Development (preferred)
