Summary
Part‑time position. Assists the Information Technology department in resolving basic issues and problems by performing the functions listed below.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Provide first‑level technical support for hardware, software, printers, phones, and business applications.
- Assist users with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, email, and common business software applications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Setup, configure, repair, and deploy PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Assist with server maintenance, system updates, patching, and inventory tracking.
- Support network infrastructure including switches, wireless access points, VPN connectivity, and firewalls.
- Participate in cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, password management, and security awareness.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and issue resolutions.
- Assist in developing training materials and provide end‑user training when needed.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding defective equipment, repairs, licensing, and warranty support.
- Support ERP, manufacturing, and production‑related business systems as assigned.
- Assist with special IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and technology improvement initiatives.
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service while interacting with employees across departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Two or more years of educational experience in related fields of study and/or work experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical information to non‑technical users.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Willingness to learn new technologies while working in a team‑oriented environment.
- Read and interpret technical instructions, correspondence, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and management in written and verbal formats.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions and troubleshoot issues involving several variables in standardized situations.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, lift equipment up to 40 pounds, and work with computer and networking hardware.
