Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Master Data Management (MDM) & Data Governance Analyst to design, implement, and operate data governance processes and master data solutions across our enterprise. This role will lead data standards, metadata, data quality monitoring, and reference/master data domains (e.g., Customer, Product, Vendor) with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities (Big Query, Dataplex, Data Catalog).

The ideal candidate blends business acumen with technical depth and can partner with data engineering, security, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, well-governed data at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Drive domain-level MDM (Customer, Product, Vendor, Location) including survivorship rules, match/merge, golden record creation, and hierarchy management.
  • Define and execute data stewardship processes; triage master data issues and change requests.
  • Establish policies, standards, and controls for data quality, metadata, lineage, and access.
  • Define business glossaries, data definitions, and critical data elements (CDEs). Participate in governance councils and run working groups; track adoption and compliance KPIs.
  • Design and implement data quality rules, profiling, and monitoring dashboards for priority data domains.
  • Coordinate issue management and remediation with data owners and engineering teams.
  • Implement preventative/automated checks and SLAs for data reliability across pipelines.
  • Integrate metadata, lineage, and DQ workflows with GCP-native tools such as Dataplex and/or governance platforms (e.g., Collibra/Alation).
  • Collaborate with data engineering on ingestion, transformation, and model design aligned to governance standards.
  • Align governance and controls with regulatory requirements (GDPR/CCPA, SOX), security standards, and internal audit findings.
  • Support access reviews, data retention/archival, and sensitive data handling (PII/PHI).
  • Build training, playbooks, and communications to drive adoption of governance processes.
  • Contribute to enterprise initiatives and participate in cross‑functional projects to ensure data governance requirements are embedded in system implementations and process changes.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to establish and operationalize core MDM capabilities, including governance, data quality controls, and domain stewardship.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years in Data Governance, MDM, Data Quality, and Metadata Management.
  • Hands‑on experience with GCP data ecosystem:
Big Query (SQL, performance tuning, partitioning/clustering), Dataplex (data domains, policies), Data Catalog (tags, metadata, lineage), IAM (RBAC/ABAC, service accounts).
  • Strong understanding of data quality techniques (profiling, rules, thresholds, remediation workflows).
  • Experience defining data standards, business glossary, and metadata models.
  • Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Teradata, Informatica MDM/360, Reltio, Profisee) or custom MDM implementations.
  • Experience with Data Governance tools such as Dataplex, Collibra, Alation, Informatica.
  • Proficient in SQL; familiarity with Python or data pipeline tooling is a plus.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Benefits
  • Parts Town Pride — virtual tour and culture.
  • Quarterly profit‑sharing bonus.
  • Hybrid work schedule.
  • Team member appreciation events and recognition programs.
  • Volunteer opportunities.
  • Casual dress code.
  • On‑demand pay options.
  • Health insurance, 401k/401k match, employee assistance programs, and time off.

Salary range: $61,773 to $95,474.41 annually.
