Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, upgrading and managing an OTS SharePoint Server, a Farm or OTS Project Server PWA.
- Configuring all service applications such as Search, Metadata, and User Profile Synchronization, as well as creating and maintaining a Content database.
- Maintaining various logging databases in SQL Server.
- Configuring timed jobs according to business requirements.
- Designing and implementing new features for a PWA Application.
- Troubleshooting issues such as connection failures, failed jobs, application errors, server alerts, and space thresholds within predefined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Serving as a resource for resolving complex, escalated issues and collaborating with developers to prevent performance and reliability problems.
- U.S. citizenship or a Green Card holder (no sponsorship will be considered) due to federal contract requirements.
- Ability to pass a minimal background investigation prior to the start date.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience as a SharePoint system administrator managing a SharePoint environment.
- Extensive experience administering, developing, and customizing applications with SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019, and Office 365 SharePoint online.
- Proven experience configuring and managing Project Web App (PWA) on‑premise and in the cloud.
- Experience integrating SharePoint 365 solutions such as Power Automate and Power BI in an on‑premises environment.
- SQL Server (2008/2012/2016) administration skills and disaster recovery experience (a plus).
- Proven experience in developing and implementing SharePoint governance plans.
- Demonstrated experience with the following technologies:
SharePoint Object Model, SharePoint Designer, Visio, Info Path, Java, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, C#, HTML5, CSS3, Power Shell, XML, XPath, REST, API, .Net, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL, VBA, Microsoft Project, and Project Server/PWA. - Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to SharePoint and Project Server/PWA.
- Experience implementing compliance and discovery features for SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, server administration, and operating system fundamentals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
- Customer‑focused approach with a commitment to delivering high‑quality IT support services.
- Experience working in an EPA environment is a plus.
This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to support system upgrades or resolve critical issues.
