Job SummaryIT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support to users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring equipment, and ensuring smooth IT operations. Responsibilities include supporting meeting spaces and networking infrastructure.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Identify root cause of technical problems and implement solutions.
- Document issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Manage and update software and operating systems.
- Provide technical support to end‑users via phone, email, or in‑person.
- Answer user inquiries and address technical issues promptly.
- Train users on new technologies and software.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Monitor network performance and identify potential problems.
- Assist with network infrastructure maintenance.
- Ensure security of computer systems and networks.
- Install and maintain security software and hardware.
- Assist with security audits and assessments.
- Prepare and support meeting spaces.
- Test and confirm functionality of meeting spaces prior to meetings.
- Troubleshoot and implement fixes for hardware and Q‑SYS in meeting spaces.
- Support AV & MTR systems in a contemporary workplace.
- Provide basic network support for users.
- Assist networking team with additions or changes to the network.
- Troubleshoot and implement fixes with support of the networking team.
- 5+ years of experience in helpdesk support.
- 1+ year of providing AV support in a fast‑paced corporate executive environment (highly preferred).
- 1+ year of experience supporting networking (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Experience with networking protocols and technologies.
- Knowledge of security principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service orientation.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).
- Other relevant certifications (CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certifications, etc.).
The range for this position is $48,000 to $86,000 annually. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401(k) benefits, and commissions/incentive compensation depending on role.
