Delivery Driver - 3rd Shift

Position Summary

As a Delivery Driver for Omnicare Pharmacy, you will deliver prescription orders and/or products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule. Delivery drivers play a critical role in ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients, demonstrating ethical conduct and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Success in this role includes managing all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team’s ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly, safely, and accurately.

• Provide timely and accurate delivery of medication, equipment, products, and/or supplies to long‑term care facilities or patients’ homes.
• Load products and materials for delivery into the vehicle in a safe and orderly fashion.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance, alert management of any issues, and ensure safe operation of all delivery vehicles.
• Log deliveries and return accompanying documents as appropriate.
• Confirm correct medication is in correct shipment packaging for each facility.
• Use mobile phones and applications to navigate your route using basic internet applications and GPS functions per designated route sequence.
• Deploy alternative delivery methods in emergency situations.
• Follow all applicable regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Drive for long periods of time while maintaining focus and safety.

• Verifiable high school diploma or GED is required.
• The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without distraction.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues.
• Active listening skills: giving full attention, understanding others, asking appropriate questions, and avoiding inappropriate interruptions.
• Judgement: ability to identify potential problems and recognize when something is wrong.
• Decision‑making: choosing the best course of action when faced with complex situations with multiple options.
• Customer service orientation.
• Geographical knowledge of the service area.
• Flexibility required for nights and weekends.
• Current, valid driver’s license at the level required for the vehicle’s operation.

• Prior experience in the long‑term care industry.

Pay Range: The typical pay range for this role is $16.00 – $23.56 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
