Position Summary

IASA Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating purchases, and ensuring timely delivery of products to support customer requirements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working directly with manufacturers and suppliers to secure pricing, lead times, and technical information. Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or industrial procurement is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source materials and components from existing and prospective suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain supplier databases organized by product category and capabilities.
  • Create, issue, and manage purchase orders through completion.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery metrics, and quality compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors.
  • Review supplier quotations and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, and inventory teams to support customer requirements.
  • Track open orders and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records within ERP and business systems.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and documentation requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain operations.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
  • Aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or industrial industry experience preferred.
Skills & Experience
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Understanding of part numbers, traceability documentation, and other part record information
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently.
