Heavy Equipment Operator – Parks

Do you take pride in operating big machines that keep our parks safe, beautiful, and ready for the community to enjoy?

Pay: $26.43 per hour

Schedule: 7:00 a.m.

- 3:00 p.m., may vary

Location: Park Maintenance, Fort Wayne, IN

• Operate bulldozers, backhoes, dump trucks, trenchers, graders, and other heavy equipment for park maintenance and repairs
• Perform grading, landscaping, drainage, and snow-removal tasks across City parks and facilities
• Maintain safe play surfaces, repair roads and sewers, and complete athletic field renovations
• Conduct basic equipment servicing and assist with training crew members

• High school diploma or GED
• Five (5) years' experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, graders, or backhoes
• Valid Indiana Driver's License and ability to obtain a CDL Class A with air-brake endorsement within one year of hire
