Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist
Job DescriptionThe Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist will demonstrate thorough knowledge of "Best Safety Practices" and comply with all company safety policies and procedures. The role involves troubleshooting unsafe conditions and taking appropriate levels of corrective action to ensure human safety is never compromised. Daily forklift safety checklists will be utilized. The specialist will also demonstrate superior knowledge of all quality systems, comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, and complete and document all product quality checks and food safety checks as required by the plant HACCP and MCP programs.
Active participation in preventing and correcting potential quality related issues and food safety investigations is required. The specialist will communicate and interact with others in a manner consistent with the company's "Grooves" and "I Can Make A Difference Philosophies".
The specialist will analyze and solve electro/mechanical problems of processing, packing, and auxiliary equipment, assist manufacturing personnel on process related problems, execute assigned projects under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor, read and follow blueprints, drawings, and schematics, work on low and high voltage transformers, motors, motor starters, and switch gear, perform change over and support line start ups, perform established Preventative Maintenance and identify new PM activities as needed, perform maintenance building activities, maintain daily records of work performed on MP2 maintenance software, and represent the Froneri Way through the behaviors and characteristics in our operating model and core values.
Measurable outcomes include ensuring preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time, maximizing equipment uptime and reliability, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment issues, continuously reducing response times to maintenance requests, measuring and optimizing the efficiency of work order completion, and acting as a safety leader ensuring maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations.
Levels of responsibility include quality and technical system adherence, completion of the required production to plan, health and safety, impeccable hygiene standards always, clean as you go using proper cleaning techniques, and the number of direct reports (if applicable).

Work environment involves regular work with and around others in a wet and/or humid environment, in areas of high noise level, and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work is fast paced and involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.
The pay scale for this role is $33.67 - $36.24 an hour.
