Overview
The Associate Project Manager will provide support to the Project Management Department as well as lead, manage, support, and contribute to general projects identified to improve the quality of our products and the speed and efficiency with which we respond to customer requests.
Education & Experience Requirements
- 5+ yrs. experience in Manufacturing or equivalent experience demonstrated by skills and abilities.
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, preferred but not required.
- Lead assigned general projects ensuring they remain on track for timely completion and stay within the budget.
- Develop and manage project plans, including definition of roles, responsibilities, and milestones.
- Monitor project progress and report to necessary personnel.
- Work with plant managers, production coordinators, and all other necessary personnel to guide and facilitate projects to meet organizational objectives and satisfy customer requests.
- Resolve problems and overcome roadblocks that may arise for the project team by working with the Project Sponsor and Project Owner.
- Communicate project actions and updates to project team or stakeholders as required.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Provide administrative support to the activities of the Project Management group and the Processes with which we follow.
- Strong oral and written communication skills including technical report writing.
- Aptitude to recognize and solve problems.
- Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, leading, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others (must be able to build rapport with project staff).
- Office environment in a fast-paced production facility.
- Some travel to other facilities necessary.
- Sitting and working at desk for extended periods of time.
