JOB SUMMARY

Plan, develop and implement the credit union’s employee education and training programs that support the strategic plan of the credit union. Ensure ongoing employee development aligns with organizational priorities and promotes exceptional member service. Communicate the credit union’s goals and direction to staff, implement, oversee, and conduct training initiatives while delivering effective learning programs across all departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administer the credit union’s training programs by creating and/or coordinating materials and conducting learning sessions.
  • Create training activities that promote interactive participation and engagement.
  • Coordinate and utilize external training programs and products to enhance the credit union’s internal training initiatives.
  • Assess the credit union’s training needs using input from managers, member satisfaction surveys, employee assessments, and performance data.
  • Assist department managers with employee development and performance improvement strategies.
  • Conduct training sessions for new employees in clerical or administrative positions, teller or member services operations, and other areas of the credit union.
  • Conduct seminars and workshops on new products, policies, and procedures for all staff.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, procedural guides, and resource manuals.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the annual training plan and training budget.
  • Communicate effectively with all employees to ensure clear understanding of the credit union’s goals, direction, and service standards.
  • Develop, implement, and conduct ongoing training programs that support the credit union’s growth and strategic direction.
  • Assist branch and administrative staff with operational training, certification programs, and special projects as needed.
  • Prepare training and resource manuals by identifying purpose; assemble and compose information for the manuals.
  • Monitor emerging training trends, technologies, financial products and changes in regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by President/CEO or Executive Management.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or Equivalent.

· Bachelor’s degree in Education Organizational Development, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

· Understanding of credit union operations, financial products, and regulatory compliance requirements preferred.

· Experience in designing and implementing training programs for both in-person and virtual settings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

· Sit or stand for extended periods of time.

· Use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

· Speak and hear clearly to communicate with members, coworkers, and vendors.

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (such as files, office supplies, or cash boxes).

· Reach, bend, or stoop as needed to access files or office equipment.

· Maintain visual acuity to review detailed documents, reports, and computer screens.

Work Environment:

· Work is generally performed in a professional office or branch setting.

· The noise level is typically quiet to moderate.

· The position involves frequent contact with members and requires a professional and friendly demeanor.

· May occasionally require travel between branches or attendance at community events, meetings, or training sessions.

· Compliance with all Credit Union safety, security, and confidentiality standards is required.
