What You’ll Take the Lead On:- Managing and coaching a team of 3–6 Carrier Sales Representatives
- Conducting weekly 1:1s, performance reviews, and call coaching
- Developing your team in carrier negotiation, lane strategy, margin protection, and reefer market execution
- Overseeing procurement of refrigerated and temperature-controlled capacity
- Building and maintaining core carrier networks in key reefer lanes
- Ensuring consistent coverage for produce, frozen foods, and dairy
- Holding the team accountable to KPIs, including on-time performance, tender acceptance, load coverage time, and margin targets
- Owning high-level relationships with refrigerated carriers and negotiating pricing agreements
- Partnering with Customer Sales and Operations on new business wins, difficult lanes, and service recovery
- Creating SOPs and training processes for reefer execution, temperature checks, breakdown response, and high-risk load planning
- 3+ years of freight brokerage experience
- 2+ years of reefer or temperature-controlled freight experience (strongly preferred)
- Prior leadership, mentorship, or team lead experience
- Strong negotiation skills and deep reefer market knowledge
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure, time-sensitive freight
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
