The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts.

• Manage multiple machines at the same time
• Operate CNC machines and run them proficiently
• Oversee set up and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills

• High school graduate or equivalent

• 2–6 years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience or journeyman machinist

• Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints
• Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances
• Capability to use basic inspection tools and techniques
• Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions; good understanding of shop math
• Proficient interpersonal relations, organization, and communication skills

• CNC lathe and/or mills

• Light work:
  Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 30 pounds frequently; lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects; standing for 8+ hours per day
• Visual acuity: close vision, color vision
• Work conditions: subjected to noise, vibration, coolants, etc.
