Position Overview
At Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations, as an Assembler, you will assemble the finest pontoons and sub-assemblies in a fast-paced shop setting, working at the bench, on the boat, or on the shop floor. Your work supports brands such as Harris Boats, Lund, Crestliner, and Cypress Cay pontoons.
Essential Functions- Work safely at all times and report hazards to your supervisor immediately.
- Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Engineering Prints.
- Visually inspect and audit units for quality and discuss issues with lead or supervisor to resolve problems.
- Use electric and pneumatic hand tools.
- Seek positive solutions to issues and problems.
- Complete work within takt time.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Maintain a high standard of conduct and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Wear required personal protective equipment: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, sleeves, etc.
- Flexible to work extended hours to support business requirements.
- Experience using basic hand and small power tools (drill, saws, sanders, measuring tape, level, etc.).
- Able to read a blueprint.
- Previous manufacturing and/or machinery experience preferred.
- Communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $ per hour. Compensation is based on knowledge, skills, experience, and business needs. Working ConditionsEmployees frequently stand and lift heavy objects weighing 50-100 pounds, walk, push/pull, reach, and climb stairs. Tasks include squatting, kneeling, and fine hand movements such as tightening screws and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust vision as needed.
