Hours: Day shift
Compensation: Base Salary + Bonus + Profit Sharing + Full Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day machining and production activities across assigned shifts, ensuring optimal utilization of people and equipment.
- Oversee a team of CNC and manual machinists, providing direction, coaching, and technical support as needed.
- Manage workflow in a high-mix, low-volume job shop environment, prioritizing customer orders and meeting delivery schedules.
- Ensure all safety, quality, and productivity standards are achieved and sustained.
- Monitor job progress, part quality, and adherence to machining specifications and tolerances.
- Coordinate with engineering and planning to resolve technical or scheduling issues.
- Support setup optimization, tooling selection, and process improvements to reduce downtime and waste.
- Maintain accurate production reporting, time tracking, and shop documentation.
- Enforce company policies, maintain a clean and organized work area, and promote a culture of safety and accountability.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, 5S, and preventive maintenance efforts.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience in machining, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong working knowledge of CNC machining processes, setups, tooling, and inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and basic computer applications.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices preferred.
