Manufacturing - Assembler 1 - (No weekends) Up to $21.45/hr in 6 months

Fort Wayne, IN (Ardmore Ave)

Multiple shifts available;
Additional shifts may open up as company needs arise.
  • Training will likely take place on 1st shift: 7:50 am - 4:20 pm
Starting Pay: $19.84/hr;
Up to $21.45/hr within ~6 months

What you'll do
  • Set up and operate cutting equipment, roller straighteners, and furnaces, including adjusting parameters and maintaining proper conditions for materials
  • Interpret work instructions, blueprints, and production orders to accurately configure equipment and prioritize jobs
  • Perform quality checks through visual inspection and precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure tolerance compliance.
  • Understand material properties and how alloys respond to different processes and conditions
  • Follow procedures for traceability, process control, safety, and housekeeping, taking corrective action when needed
  • Complete finishing tasks such as packaging products and supporting additional duties as assigned
What we're looking for
  • 1 year of manufacturing or machine operator experience, preferred
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills
  • Mechanical aptitude, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good hand dexterity
  • Understand and apply safe work practices
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced production environment.
  • May work with and around hazardous chemicals.
  • Exposure to fluctuating temperatures may occur.
  • Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
  • May be required to perform work above shoulder height.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, lifting and squatting.
  • Must be able to access all areas of operation.
  • Standing/walking most of shift.
  • Visual acuity.
