Main Purpose Of Job

Responsible for leading production and prioritizing demands for other departments throughout their shift, ensuring a high level of machinery efficiency, product quality and both material and labor cost optimization.

Role and Activity
  • To Plan: organize, facilitate, and control your shift. This includes all activities of your team to achieve the required standard of production within your shift. Think ahead and prepare for the next shift.
  • Accountability: hold team members accountable for their actions, enforce agreed rules, reprimand when necessary and ensure timely attendance and proper use of PTO.
  • Training and developing: drive upskilling of team members through training plans, assessments, and skill matrix updates; address skill gaps and encourage cross‑training.
  • Your Training: understand all machinery across production lines and collaborate with management on improvement opportunities.
  • Food Safety and Quality: comply with documented procedures, control quality within your shift, and ensure standards are met.
  • Hygiene & Housekeeping: maintain high housekeeping standards, conduct audits, brief team daily, and enforce good manufacturing practices.
  • Cost Control (Waste & Downtime): minimize waste and downtime, segregate waste, and drive improvement actions across production lines.
  • Communication: adopt open forums for team communication, participate in SHOs, and cascade information effectively.
  • H.E Management (Safety / Health and Environment): ensure working practices comply with company rules and standards.
  • Staffing: plan staffing changes proactively and address gaps.
  • People: know every team member, empower them, hold them accountable, challenge performance, and assess based on merit.
  • Process/Machinery: master ice cream manufacturing processes, line capacities, root cause analysis, and basic machinery principles.
  • Management: spend time on the shop floor, make staffing and scheduling decisions, prioritize business needs, and manage crises under pressure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Quality targets in terms of complaints, rejects and CRQS.
  • Dry floors & Clean as you Go.
  • Food Safety incidents.
  • Waste, losses and ZBL targets.
  • Attainment targets.
  • Labor variance and labor cost per unit produced.
  • H&S incidents.
  • Team’s training matrices progress.
  • Team’s engagement survey improvements.
  • General factory 5S and organization, including proper storage of tools and parts.
