The Lab Technician (Foam Manufacturing) is responsible for supporting laboratory operations within a foam manufacturing environment by performing material testing, quality control analyses, and product evaluations in accordance with established procedures. This role ensures that foam products meet required specifications for performance, safety, and consistency. Key responsibilities include preparing and testing foam samples, measuring physical and chemical properties (such as density, compression set, PPI), recording and analyzing data, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

• Perform daily foam tests for the lab.
• Cut detailed test samples, perform data entry, and issue certification of compliance to customers.
• Participate in corrective action teams.
• Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends.
• Communicate effectively with plant associates and managers.
• Create and update JHA's and SOP's.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervision.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; A.S. degree preferred.
• ASQ certification as CQ1 or CQT is desirable.
• At least 2 years of lab testing experience.
• Direct experience within a manufacturing facility under an ISO, AS, or IATF management system with documented training in one or more areas as Manager, Lead, Technician, Inspector and/or Auditor.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer skills with all Microsoft applications.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements desirable.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
