Holman, a family‑owned global automotive services organization, is hiring a Material Handler for its facility in Ft.Wayne, IN.
Responsibilities- Maintain inventories of all inventoried items (controlled and/or non‑controlled).
- Assist and participate in conducting cycle counts.
- Properly position bar coding on all incoming parts and equipment.
- Allocate required parts to job/work orders and complete requisitions for parts shortages.
- Maintain mechanics materials and orders based on pick sheets.
- Pull and stage parts for job/work orders.
- Receive packing slips and verify quantities for parts against purchase orders.
- Responsible for the shipment of parts to customers.
- Collect and properly package inventory and purchased items needing shipment.
- Properly check‑in and move vehicles delivered.
- Operate and move large parts with company lifting systems, exercising extreme care.
- Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process.
- Comply with company safety policies and clean initiative standards.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Prior experience or forklift certifications in a warehouse/materials environment desired.
- Experience with wireless inventory systems desired.
- Experience with UPS or Fed Ex shipments desired.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in multiple environments – shop, outside in all types of weather conditions as well as in an office.
- Must pass a physical and criminal background check prior to employment.
Pay: $21 per hour.
Hours:
6:00am – 2:30pm. Benefits include health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and more. Eligible for benefits within 30 days of employment.
