ProductionOperator - Full-Time Job Purpose
Responsible for assembly, machining, quality checks, tool changes, and problem solving of production processes and equipment, working in a manufacturing team environment where Dana Operating System (DOS) principles are highly integrated.
Job Responsibilities- Assembly, machining, and quality checks of production processes and equipment.
- Tool changes and problem solving on production processes and equipment.
- Work in a manufacturing team environment with integration of Dana Operating System (DOS) principles.
- Support safe operation and maintain workstation organization.
- Use computerized equipment for machine resets and quality checks.
- Read and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures.
- Collaborate cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Learn new job responsibilities as required by business and manpower demands.
- Complete tasks within designated time frames to meet production standards.
- Operate in a dynamic and fast‑paced manufacturing plant environment.
- Report for work on time to support production startup and throughput goals.
- Perform duties and responsibilities satisfactorily, meeting essential knowledge, skill, ability, and physical demands.
- Understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority.
- Use computerized equipment and engage in activities such as machine resets and quality checks.
- Clean and maintain workstation organization.
- Read, comprehend, and follow written, standardized work instructions and trained procedures.
- Work cooperatively with others in a team environment.
- Learn new job responsibilities as required by business and manpower demands.
- Complete tasks within designated time frames to meet production standards.
- Work in a dynamic and fast‑paced manufacturing plant environment.
- Regularly report for work on time to support production startup and throughput goals.
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
- Walk and stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections.
- Promptly detect and respond to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes.
- Work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold).
- Frequently and repetitively lift or carry materials weighing 30 to 40 pounds.
- Use ergonomic hand positioning to grip or grasp devices such as hoists and a wide range of power and vibrating tools or other equipment.
