- Understand customer’s requirements for product packaging, documentation, and production orders to properly prepare the goods for shipment in a fast paced, dynamic environment of changing requirements.
- Package material for shipment and ensure that all labeling is accurate based on customer’s requirements.
- Resolve spooling or documentation errors found with appropriate department and/or Customer Service Associate. Monitor resolution process to ensure shipment is made in a timely manner; bringing problems to the attention of leadership, as necessary.
- Work with inspection and production to prioritize shipments.
- Keep assigned work and storage areas clean and organized.
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- 1-2 years' experience in a shipping department/position, preferred.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions.
- Possess intermediate math, reading, and writing skills.
- Must be able to work without close supervision and be capable of self-checking completed work.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understand and apply safe work practices.
- Fast-paced production environment
- Work hours consist of 40 hours per week.
- Overtime may sometimes be required.
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds alone and 200 pounds with assistance; must be physically able to load and unload heavy items
- Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting.
- Must be able to access all areas of operation.
