Assembler

This role involves working as part of a collaborative production team to assemble complete products or specific components according to established processes and quality standards. You will rotate through various tasks within the production line, operate equipment, and support the efficient and safe manufacture of goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble complete products or specific components according to production instructions and quality standards.
  • Rotate through all tasks required in the assigned production process to maintain workflow flexibility and coverage.
  • Determine daily work assignments and follow established procedures to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area by shoveling, sweeping, and removing debris as needed.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide hands-on assistance in the production of wiring assemblies and related components.
  • Follow quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and security strategies to protect people, data, property, and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues, share updates, and coordinate tasks.
  • Identify basic production or equipment problems and assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Essential

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and document work clearly.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability to identify issues in the production process and support corrective actions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team player and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of raw materials and production processes used in manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of quality control techniques and practices to maximize effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Familiarity with relevant equipment and procedures, including safe operation of forklifts and production tools.
  • Awareness of policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective security operations to protect people, data, property, and facilities.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a similar production environment.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment in a production or warehouse setting.
  • Hands-on experience with wiring assemblies or basic electrical component assembly.
  • Exposure to structured production environments with defined processes and quality standards.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to rotate between different tasks and workstations as production needs change.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
