Rewinder
The Rewinder sets up and operates the rewinder machine to perform respooling and confirm quality of product that other departments produce.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Rolls reel to jack from staging area and place in jack
- Strings wire through rewinder machine
- Operates machine to control speed of reel
- Guides wire onto new reel to ensure correct placement
- Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels
- Monitors processes & controls to assure quality
- Places completed reel in designated location
- Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire
- Completes paperwork, record and enter data
- Communicates with supervisors & associates
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum Experience
Required:
Entry level
License(s) and/or Certification(s)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices
Maintains cleanliness of area
Ability to use of tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer
Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
Computer literate
