The maintenance manager will lead the site maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities- Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
- Increase site operational effectiveness through project delivery, low mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans.
- Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Ensures that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
- Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement with modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
- Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department.
- Coordinate work performed by outside vendors.
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
- Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts.
- Control and monitor inventory.
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
- Manage and maintain facility and facility projects.
- Direct the activities of maintenance leaders and team to meet priorities within department.
- Set up and follow a preventive and predictive maintenance program.
- Manage all machine uptime and downtime.
- Maintain and monitor necessary purchases of equipment to meet production schedule.
- Assist in compliance of GMP and SQF Audits.
- Develop and manage the expense budget assigned to the department.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in maintenance management role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Production area can vary in temperature either be cool or warm depending on the season and possibly humid in the summer months.
- Concrete floors are slippery, especially when wet.
- Intact senses of sight, with corrective lenses are necessary.
- Hearing and vision are required in order to be able to hear and read documents pertaining to the job.
