Program Manager – Data Center Power Systems

U.S.

Summary of Position:

The Program Manager – Data Center Power Systems independently manages the full lifecycle of large-scale data center power infrastructure programs for hyperscale data center environments. This role owns program outcomes from concept through deployment, with direct accountability for schedule, budget, technical execution, and customer satisfaction.

The Program Manager leads cross-functional teams spanning engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and logistics, and makes independent program decisions with minimal oversight from senior leadership. The individual is expected to deliver complex infrastructure programs on time, on budget, and in full compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

Program Management & Execution
  • Own and manage the complete lifecycle of large-scale data center power system programs from contract award through final customer acceptance
  • Develop, baseline, and maintain integrated program schedules, budgets, and resource plans with full accountability for program performance
  • Lead program planning meetings, production reviews, and executive-level status reporting independently
  • Identify, assess, and drive resolution of program risks, schedule impacts, and operational bottlenecks without escalation to senior leadership
  • Manage program documentation, action-item tracking, and configuration control across all work streams
  • Execute scope, schedule, and cost change management processes, including formal change order administration
Engineering & Technical Leadership
  • Lead coordination of all engineering activities related to UPS systems, lithium-ion battery systems, electrical distribution, HVAC, outdoor-rated enclosures, and monitoring/control systems
  • Own technical review and approval of one-line drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical layouts, structural integration concepts, and thermal management strategies
  • Chair design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments; make binding technical decisions on behalf of the program
  • Manage engineering change processes and ensure all design changes are assessed for cost, schedule, and compliance impact
  • Independently analyze, design, and implement systems solutions using CAD, ERP/MRP systems, CMDB, and enterprise project management platforms
  • Apply advanced knowledge of SCADA, BMS, EMS, and computer-based tools to configure and validate power systems monitoring and data acquisition applications
  • Exercise independent judgment in the development and integration of firmware configurations, PLC/HMI programming, and network protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP)
  • The primary duty of this position includes the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including design, development, testing, and modification of computer systems or programs based on user or system design specifications
Manufacturing & Production Management
  • Direct fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, and packaging workflows to meet program schedule commitments
  • Own production planning, inventory coordination, and work-in-process management with accountability for delivery milestones
  • Manage relationships with fabrication partners, integrators, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of long-lead materials and assemblies
  • Lead manufacturing quality initiatives and drive production ramp activities to meet volume and yield targets
Compliance, Quality & Testing
  • Own quality control and compliance documentation for all applicable standards, including UL, NEC, IEC, NEMA, UL50E, UL9540, and UL508A
