Adheres to General Work Requirements Performs managerial responsibilities, for example, hire/fire, disciplinary actions, PMP, training, and work assignments Formulates and recommends manufacturing processes and procedures, layout and material handling methods Develops, implements, and tracks production planning, scheduling, and control methods Directs development and application of time standards Provides timely, accurate reports of manufacturing status, performance to budget, and performance to schedule and quality Prepares budgets, makes recommendations and justifies major capital expenditures necessary for increased efficiency of the manufacturing operations Conducts studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and new equipment Directs cost control programs and manages adherence to standards of performance for manpower and equipment Participates in annual budget preparation and maintains budget status during fiscal year
Typically 10 years' experience working in an industrial/manufacturing environment Typically 2-4 years supervisor/manager experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, department and organization Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project, e-mail, and internet-based applications
