Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong MIG welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and shop drawings, and excellent measuring and fabrication skills. Candidates must be able to successfully complete a welding test to demonstrate proficiency.
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Duties- Perform MIG welding on a variety of components, including structural and sheet metal pieces.
- Read and follow blueprints, shop drawings, and welding specifications to ensure accurate and precise work.
- Lay out components and accurately align and fit pieces together prior to welding.
- Perform welding tasks while maintaining proper weld quality and consistency.
- Operate various torches, grinders, and other welding/fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Accurately measure and inspect components using a tape measure and other applicable tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Perform other welding and fabrication duties as assigned.
- Previous MIG welding experience required.
- Must have your own welding equipment.
- Must successfully complete a welding test to demonstrate proficiency.
- Strong knowledge and ability to accurately use a tape measure.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and shop drawings.
- Must have and wear steel-toed shoes or boots.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely operate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Experience with TIG welding is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience working with structural steel and sheet metal.
- Fabrication and fitting experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.
